new tutorial cont.2

Well, from last week to this week on tutorials, I'm going to make a drastic change in the mood of the tutorials. Last tutorial I did a rainbow tutorial (new tutorial cont.) ,now I'm going to do a complete opposite. I'm going to make a storm look worse than it is.
  • First, (you can do this if you want) make a copy of the background layer. The background layer would most likely be that storm picture you'd want to darken. I did this just in case I didn't like what I first came up with, so I could delete the copy and not mess with the actual image.
  • Next, go to the burn tool, O for shortcut, lower the exposure panel at the top to about 15% and to the left change the *range panel from highlights, midtones, or shadows.
  • As for what I before about changing the range, just play around with the range and see what you like or come up with.
If you want to, you can over do it when applying burns on the *different ranges just to lower the opacity to get exactly what you want.
